Activated Carbon Filter (ACF)

High-porosity granular media derived from coconut shells or coal, specifically processed to create of microscopic pores for the removal of dissolved contaminants.

Value Proposition

Provides superior removal of chlorine, bad tastes, odors, and organic chemicals (VOCs). Our high-iodine value carbon ensures a longer service life and higher adsorption capacity, reducing the frequency of media replacement and lowering your overall operating costs.

Technical Specifications

  • Iodine Value: Available in 600 and 900 mg/g.

Process Description

The system utilizes the principle of Adsorption. As water flows downward through the activated carbon bed, the highly porous surface of the carbon traps organic molecules, pesticides, and solvents within its pores. Simultaneously, a catalytic reaction on the carbon surface converts harmful free chlorine into harmless chloride ions.
