Value Proposition
The system significantly reduces sludge volume and overall disposal costs while operating with substantially lower power and water consumption compared to conventional centrifuges and belt presses. Its energy-efficient design ensures reliable performance with minimal operating expenses.
Applications
-
Industrial Sector: Sewage Sludge Dewatering
-
Municipal Sector: Sewage Sludge Dewatering
Technical Specifications
-
Dry Solids (DS) Concentration: 15% – 25% (Depending on sludge characteristics)
-
Power Consumption: 0.1 kW to 5.0 kW (Low-energy design)
- Screw press: 0.75 to 5 kW (Low energy design)
Process Description
Sludge is first fed into a mixing tank, where flocculation takes place. The conditioned sludge then enters the screw cylinder. As the screw rotates, the gap between the rings gradually narrows, creating increasing internal pressure. This pressure forces the liquid (filtrate) to pass through the gaps, while the dewatered solids (sludge cake) are discharged from the end of the cylinder.
